Artist's Comments

So I started this yesterday, and it by allrights should be finished by now. I am relearning hoe to use SVG apps. This pic was done in Sodipodi and the GIMP. Open Source SOftware is great, but my brain hurts from trying to learn so many things at once.

The idea I am heading towards is the over-sexualization of a person based only on physical image. My plan is to practice my typographics skiiz and include text, but I am having troble thinking of any right now. If you have any ideas let me know. :)

This is so great. She seems to be saying: "Stop looking at me!" The colors and textures are delicious.

i like the colors. texture, yes. organic and beautiful. the photographic bit which you let show through in the top right feels a little meaningless as part of the composition. yes, it is distracting. i like the way that texture was repeated in the lower left (because you let it be just a texture, as opposed to a photographic element). hmm, a very nice piece, it has a good painterly quality but retains the crispness and unnatural colors of a fun digital image.

I really like this one. Its really interesting and I cannot put my finger on why.
as far as text goes, I generally do an internet search on the theme of the picture/product/whatever text your looking for.
This would make a great sexual harassment poster. Finding facts about sexual harassment would be pretty easy on the net.

There is something delightfully modern and symbolic about this that I cannot quite comprehend.. but I see. Thus is art though I suppose. This screams " arreter!" It's as if the innocence of your subject is being pervaded, and yet it comes as no suprise as she only emminates beautiful.. thus "arreter".. being a beautiful (in my opinion) way of yelling "stop!" This is truly awesome.. you have made me happy for searching out new (that is, new to me, not newbie) artists.. :+favlove:
